Jenny Joy 03:09
I've got a feeling that her legs might be connected to her brain 'cause from what I'm seeing the qualities in both are just the same: straight and smooth, soft and clear with some unexpected curves. Will I find out all of what's upstairs or do I totally lack the nerve? Jenny Joy do you ever think I'm cool? 'cause Jenny Joy I wanna drive you home from school 'cause there's a lot of talking we could do. We might connect on a thing or two. Jenny, Jenny I've been hoping you would say "Okay" if I stay long enough to get to know you Jenny Joy. I've got a feeling that her eyes were drawn by Disney animators 'cause from what I'm seeing they're the kind that see you now and hit you later. Deep and green, wide and true with an unexpected fire Will I find out all of what they know or does my fear outstrip my desire? Jenny Joy do you ever think I'm cool? 'cause Jenny Joy I wanna drive you home from school 'cause there's a lot of talking we could do. We might connect on a thing or two. Jenny, Jenny I've been hoping you would say "Okay" if I stay long enough to get to know you Jenny Joy. There's a dark photograph that speaks volumes about your sins floating in front of me. I will dive in the frame 'cause it's where I've also been.

Can you remember things we never shared? Our dancing hearts confessing what our hearts have never dared Can you remember that some better time sprung eternal from convictions that helped our hearts commit this crime? Lie to me and ease my mind. Make the nightmare sweet and treat me like we're fine. There's a place we can go. Pretending's just a way to die slow, so while there's time let's put our love on rewind. Is it so difficult to talk it through? C'mon and spill your fearsome secrets and I'll unload a couple, too. Or do we want to dance a leaning lie that tangles up the truth until our love begins to die? Lie to me and ease my mind. Make the nightmare sweet and treat me like we're fine. There's a place we can go. Pretending's just a way to die slow, so while there's time let's put our love on rewind.

These are not the lyrics to a song that has no words. They are, in fact, a heart attack that fast outflies the birds and I am quite convinced that you are worthier than me of all of this. These are not the hours you want to spend without me there. They are, in fact, a quick reaction flailing everywhere and I am quite convinced that you are worthier than me of all of this. Tell a little bit to me of how you'd like to yell a little bit to me right now but make it count. Make sure you make it count. These are not the drinks you want to take tonight alone. They are, in fact, a solemn pact with the feelings you've not shown and I am quite convinced that you are worthier than me of all of this.

A series of numbers changes hands. The pixie girl with the blades is all shook up. No one pretends to know just what it takes to make you smile. Boyfriends weren't all that fun for her. Soap operas can spill your guts all night. Nobody cares to erase the sensation of an aggravated sitcom fight. "If you make love to me then we'll call it even (even, even now). Even if it hurts, I've got insurance." No one denies that she's earned it. Make up your powder keg red face. The follow-up isn't something registered. No one pretends to know just what it takes to make you smile. Cheap glitter and invitation jeans counterbalanced with a pomade jerk-off grin; no one cares to erase the advantage that you signed away to him. "If you look straight at me then you'll die tomorrow (tomorrow's such a joke). Even if you call I've got insurance. Who really cares where I learned it?" Smash windows and cut your wrists in half. Blood and flowers on floors just make me laugh. No one pretends to know just what it takes to make you smile. Tell all of your friends that you're alright then suffocate in a bed of filth all night. Nobody cares where the sheets and stairs conspire to rape your life. No one pretends to know just what it takes to make you smile.

Here is a new leitmotif for the age of disgrace so the sad and dark shadows can pull the sun off their face and die down, die down, die down throwing themselves on a furious mountain of snow. Remember now, remember now that maybe we do know the right way to go. Oh, to get swallowed and swirl away into my dreams of what's good. Take your place in the theatre empty seats running in circles and then someone jumps in waving their hands in a misfit's rage, being caged, they can't tell when the right time has come to rip apart stars and throw them off cliffs by a shivering sea that's a soup of fake lives crying mouths forming "o"s lamenting everything they used to be. Oh, to get swallowed and swirl away into my dreams of what's good. I am the president I'll make a declaration of myself I am the rightful king conquering everything of me on the shelf At the consoles of rocket ships thousands of candidates teem toward the black. And, I among them, holding my wife and son program the one I'm in not to come back; streaking on course, bound for a colony where all my fantasies sell out the first night to a fandom of brothers in a frenzy of ritual tabloid blood spilled for discovering what's right. Oh, to get swallowed and swirl away into my dreams of what's good. I am the president I'll make a declaration of myself I am the rightful king conquering everything of me on the shelf I am the emperor I control all the jewels I will display I am the universe creating the work of my God in one day.

Every Night 04:21
Every night alone I cry to leverage down this dead old lie. Every night I see the game begin because I've always been there weighing light bitter complaints formative right. She makes me run all of the time. You could be there. It's falling. Every night alone I pray a wordless gift to heaven high. Every night I hear the dim resolve because my muted sin's there weighing down cold water hands forming the right. She makes me turn all of myself into thin air. I'm falling. Every night alone I try to sew myself up from inside. Every night I feel the reason slip because my heart's not in there waiting 'round for both of her hands planning some time. She makes me learn all of my heart doesn't mean care I'm falling. Every night

Shelly sits inside a Sunday morning. She can't predict the day. All she knows is that it's very cold and it will not go away. So she sits in silence thinking sadly of all the love she's lost. And though the feeling hurts her very badly she cannot count the cost. She cries "Aahhhhh." It's so deep inside her. "Aahhhhh." Her coffee's cold. She's growing older. "Aahhhhh." She does it again 'cause the pain never ends. Shelly runs away from Sunday morning. She can't get past the gate. All she knows is that it's gaining quickly and her brokenness won't wait. So she slides down in the garden puddles and drinks the fog in deep. And though the feeling makes her memory muddled she cannot start to weep. She sighs "Aahhhhh." It's so deep inside her. "Aahhhhh." Her skin is grey. He's gone away forever. "Aahhhhh." She does it again 'cause the pain never ends.

Snake Oil 02:24
Once, in a cupboard, the fortunes of the damned were kept. The precipice was telling the doorman where they both had slept. And then a warlock's wife remembered when she'd seen the darkest practice riding on the sunset's slip. Who could say? It might have been a team of bank robbers. Who could say? There's only so much snake oil you can sell to dreamers. Put down some money and run the table with your coarse, coarse hands. Who can say? Who can say? Little mermaids redesigning borders of sky. Cutting corners the value drops and spills purple dye. All over the faces are all washed in blood and all the mourners rediscover what excited a flood ... of tears, of Halifax, of drive-ins decapitated and rearranged; a brood of flying fingers and the palm prints of the strange. Who could say? It might have been a house of children interred. Who could say? There's a bandage on the wrist of the flower girl you burned. Put down some soul, honey, and ruin the fable with your long dead hands. Who can say? Who can say? Moldy scrapbooks in a cardboard box for two made into picnics for the one who's supervising you. Paper shreds, headlines tangle at the coming of the light. Don't lose your heads. You might be in the fog of a needle's blight.

Sailing 03:53
Can I ride this out again? Can I continue to pretend that I am not my only friend? There's something missing in the end. I suppose there's not another way. Somebody told me I'd never stay. I'm sailing away. When the night ends another day I'm sailing away. Can you promise I'll be alright? Can you help me find a light that won't burn out if it gets too bright? Or is it hopeless here tonight? I suppose there's not another way. Somebody told me I'd never stay. I'm sailing away. When the night ends another day I'm sailing away. I suppose there's not another way.
